Despite their location surrounded by residential neighborhoods and a traditional Main Street, the Davis and Furber Mills had been converted in the 1980’s from industrial machine shops to a technology campus. RCG saw a shortage in the market for high quality, loft-style rental apartments to serve North Andover’s downsizers and young professionals and built 66 apartments in the existing buildings while permitting hundreds more as part of a comprehensive planning process.
