RCG has made numerous incremental improvements to the Peabody Building complex. In 2008 RCG converted former office space into five residential dwelling units with addresses on both Barton Square and Essex Street. Additionally RCG reprogrammed commercial space along Lappin Park from office to food and beverage oriented retail. As part of a larger strategy the basement was constructed as a 12-car parking garage. More recently, RCG converted office space on the top two floors into 14 residential units. The project also included additional building-wide amenities like a roof deck and renovated main lobby.
RCG has continuously managed the permitting, design, construction and tenant fit out work throughout the complex. With a revitalized program, the Peabody Building is poised to fully capitalize on its prime location at the corner of Washington and Essex Streets in downtown Salem.
